At Image East Video, we use only broadcast quality, digital equipment. Most of our cameras are Sony DSR250's - a 3CCD professional camera. We also use a JVC GY HD100 (typically used for smaller shoots done in HD). Your wedding is in a digital format from the time it is shot to the time it gets to you on DVD. The difference in shooting digitally is easily seen. We shoot on DVCAM - a digital tape format used for critical shoots such as news, archival recording and weddings. A wireless microphone (usually place inconspicuously on the groom) is used to catch every word of your vows - it even catches whispers shared between the bride and groom.
We edit on a MacPro. We use Final Cut Pro for the video editing, Studio Pro for DVD creation, and Photoshop, LiveType, and Motion for other graphics. Please contact us with further questions on equipment specs.
